IT Minister lays foundation stone for Gateway IT Park in Hyderabad

    With a commercial space of six lakh square feet, the IT park could house 10,000 employees

    In a bid to decongest the IT hub area of Gachibowli-Madhapur, the Telangana government has decided to develop another IT Park — ‘Gateway IT Park’ at Kandlakoya in Medchal district.

    Telangana IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao has laid the foundation stone for the IT park as part of the Growth In Dispersion (GRID) policy.

    • With a commercial space of six lakh square feet, the IT park could house 10,000 employees.
    • Addressing a gathering later, he said that the GRID policy was introduced to facilitate the development of the IT industry across the city.
    • He said that the new facility was well connected as it was in the vicinity of the Outer Ring Road (ORR), which could take people to the airport and the IT hub in just one hour.
    • About 90 plus companies applied for office space at the IT Park and the acceptance letters were handed over to them.

    Drillmec SpA invests in Telangana

      Drillmec SpA, Global oil-drilling rig manufacturing giant has decided to setup its manufacturing plant in Telangana, Formal MoU to be signed today.

      Will be investing $200 MN (₹1,500) & providing employment to 2500 people.

      The Govt. of Telangana and Drillmec SpA entered into an MoU for the establishment of Drillmec International Hub for manufacturing oil rigs and ancillary equipment in Telangana. The MoU was signed in the presence of Hon’ble Minister Shri KTR today.

      Drillmec SpA will be investing $200 Million (₹1,500 Crore) for setting up of their manufacturing plant which will create employment opportunities for about 2500 people in Telangana.

      Drillmec SpA CEO Mr. Simone Trevisani and Principal Secretary Shri Jayesh Ranjan signed the MoU respectively. Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd & MD Shri E V Narsimha Reddy was also present.

      Drillmec SpA is a global leader in design, manufacturing and supply of drilling and workover rigs for onshore and offshore applications as well as a wide range of spare parts for drilling equipment.
