Walmart India, the fully owned subsidiary of the global retail giant Walmart Inc., signed an MoU with Telangana Government in 2017 to open 10 stores across the state in next five years. Walmart already owns a Best Price store in Hyderabad and recently launched its first B2B Cash and Carry stores in Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Warangal in 2019. More stores are in pipeline at Nacharam, Khammam and other locations across Telangana. The government provided full support in obtaining required approvals and clearances.
