o9 Solutions Announces Specialised Supply Chain Skills Academy in Telangana
o9 Solutions partners with Telangana to establish a specialised supply chain skills academy for engineering graduates.
During the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2024 in Davos, Switzerland, Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister Shri Sridhar Babu and Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan IAS met with o9 Solutions co-founder and CEO Chakri Gottemukkala to discuss a collaborative initiative.
o9 Solutions will establish a specialized supply chain skills academy in partnership with the Government of Telangana. The academy aims to “equip thousands of high potential graduating engineers from the state in specialized supply chain skills” needed by global manufacturing and retail companies.
Training will encompass industry domain knowledge, product management, artificial intelligence, and technical competencies to prepare graduates for immediate contributions to supply chain centers of excellence.
o9 will provide industry expertise and knowledge for both physical and virtual training models, while Telangana’s government will facilitate access to educational institutions and training infrastructure.
Minister Babu emphasized that “skilling across various sectors is of prime importance to the state” and that developing supply chain experts is essential for establishing Telangana as a manufacturing and export hub.
Gottemukkala stated the initiative “will enable significant employment opportunities for the youth” in supply chain roles within new investments entering the state.
