Hon’ble CM Sri A. Revanth Reddy Inaugurated Netflix Eyeline Studios Global VFX and Virtual Production Hub at HITEC City, Hyderabad
Netflix Eyeline Studios opens its second-largest India facility in Hyderabad, strengthening the city's VFX and virtual production ecosystem.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that the Telangana Government stands prepared to provide land in Bharat Future City for Netflix’s expansion, while working toward attracting Fortune 500 companies to Hyderabad.
The CM inaugurated Netflix Eyeline Studios alongside IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. This facility represents the second-largest Eyeline Labs installation in India following Mumbai, strengthening Hyderabad’s position in animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics sectors.
Addressing attendees, the Chief Minister observed that Netflix’s arrival represents “a significant moment for the State’s rapidly expanding creative and digital economy.” He expressed hope that the company would relocate its corporate office to the city.
The CM reflected on cinematic evolution from black-and-white to digital technologies, emphasizing Hyderabad’s ambition extending beyond serving Tollywood and Bollywood to attracting global creative industries including Hollywood-level production ecosystems.
He reiterated the government’s vision of transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047 through innovation and strategic investments, assuring investors of stable policy environments and full protection for capital deployed in the state.
The Chief Minister highlighted Netflix’s transformation from a DVD rental service to a leading streaming platform, noting that the Eyeline facility would nurture local talent while showcasing Telangana’s culture and heritage to worldwide audiences.
Notable attendees included Jeff Shapiro (Eyeline Studios CEO), Sanjay Jaju (Union Ministry of Information and Broadcast Secretary), actor-producer Rana Daggubati, and Dil Raju (Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman).
