CM Revanth Reddy addresses teachers who completed study tours in Finland and Germany, urging a shift toward skill-based, globally benchmarked education.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy addressed delegates who completed educational study tours in Finland and Germany at the MCRHRD Dasarathi Auditorium in Hyderabad. The interaction focused on transforming Telangana’s education system into a national model.
The CM emphasized that “students should gain complete understanding of the world by Class 12, with teachers playing the primary role in this transformation.” He urged educators to shift focus toward skill-based learning aligned with global employment opportunities.
Reddy highlighted successful government initiatives including recruitment of 11,000 teachers through DSC within 55 days, implementation of nursery to Class 12 education, breakfast programs, and teacher promotions and transfers affecting over 30,000 educators.
The Chief Minister called for studying models from Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, where skill development creates substantial employment opportunities. He stressed that blue-collar jobs with technical skills offer competitive salaries even without full language proficiency.
Government investment in education reached approximately 9 percent of the budget, with per-student expenditure at Rs. 1.08 lakhs. Enrollment in government schools increased over three years, with Telangana improving from 28th to 18th national ranking in education metrics.
