Inauguration of Cognizant New Campus at Kokapet

CM Revanth Reddy inaugurates Cognizant's new Kokapet campus after an investment-heavy USA-South Korea delegation tour.

Chief Minister Sri A Revanth Reddy inaugurated Cognizant new campus at Kokapet in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

An official state delegation led by the Chief Minister completed USA and South Korea tour and returned to Hyderabad. During the visit, the state attracted record investments of Rs 31,500 crore which will create more than 30,750 jobs, with additional agreements anticipated soon.

The Chief Minister outlined the ‘Future State’ of Telangana covering three rings: the core urban area of Hyderabad, a semi-urban zone for manufacturing facilities, and rural Telangana outside the regional ring road to be developed as premier villages with modern amenities.

The government aims to transform Telangana into a trillion dollar economy within ten years and assured full support to Cognizant for expansion plans in Hyderabad.

Highlighting Hyderabad’s four-hundred-year history, the Chief Minister noted that IT sector development was initiated by former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and continued growing under subsequent administrations, establishing Cyberabad City.

Cognizant is identified as the state’s second largest employer, reflecting significant growth trajectory alongside the city’s development.

The government prioritizes Hyderabad development across political differences and envisions developing a fourth city called “the Future City” alongside existing Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad.

The Chief Minister emphasized that Telangana competes globally rather than with neighboring states, positioning Hyderabad as the premier investment destination offering comprehensive industrial facilities and support.
