Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu laid the foundation stone for Sabar Dairy’s (Amul) ₹400 crore Mega Integrated Dairy Plant at the Urja Industrial Park in Toopran, Medak district.
The plant will begin with an initial milk processing capacity of 5 lakh litres per day. It is expected to benefit nearly 10,000 local dairy farmers and create about 350 direct jobs.
Sabar Dairy entered the Telangana market in 2015 and currently procures over 1 lakh litres of milk a day. The new plant will make packaged milk, curd, paneer, ice cream, lassi, ghee, buttermilk and bakery items.

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Minister Dr G. Vivek Venkataswamy and Medak MP Raghunandan Rao also attended.
