ST Telemedia Global Data Centres to invest ₹3,500 crore in a 100 MW AI-ready data centre campus at Muchcharla-Meerphanpet.
ST Telemedia Global Data Centres India has committed to investing ₹3,500 crore in Hyderabad’s Future City, establishing an advanced AI-based data center campus at Muchcharla-Meerphanpet through a memorandum of understanding with the Telangana government.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy remarked that “Hyderabad will soon emerge as the capital for data centers.” He praised STT Global for choosing to invest in the state and highlighted the company’s confidence in Telangana’s development trajectory.
IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu stated that Hyderabad’s data center infrastructure will play a crucial role in global AI-driven innovation. He visited STT Global’s Singapore facility and engaged with company leadership before the agreement was finalized by Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and CEO Bruno Lopez.
The facility will feature 100 megawatts of capacity with cutting-edge AI-ready infrastructure and provisions for future expansion. It will rank among India’s largest data centers.
STT Global’s President and Group CEO Bruno Lopez expressed honor at partnering with Telangana, citing “progressive policies” supporting technological innovation alongside infrastructure excellence. The company plans investing approximately $3.2 billion over the next decade to expand to one gigawatt capacity nationally.
