Telangana Govt. Signs MoU with JSW UAV Ltd. for ₹800 Cr. Manufacturing Unit
JSW UAV Ltd, a JSW Defence subsidiary, to invest ₹800 crore in an Unmanned Aerial Systems manufacturing facility in Telangana.
The Telangana government has established a Memorandum of Understanding with JSW UAV Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Defence, to create an advanced Unmanned Aerial Systems manufacturing facility within the state.
Working alongside a prominent American defence technology firm, JSW UAV plans to allocate roughly Rs 800 crore toward this venture. The project is anticipated to create more than 200 professional positions, positioning Telangana as a center for sophisticated technological and defence sector advancement.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy remarked that “Hyderabad, and Telangana, was long positioned in the global market as software and pharma leader” and emphasized the government’s commitment to broadening manufacturing investments across multiple sectors including semiconductors, defence systems, and private space technology.
Industries Minister Sridhar Babu stated: “We will strive hard to ensure our state becomes India’s biggest manufacturing hubs,” noting the agreement will establish a significant industry precedent.
