CM Revanth Reddy lays the foundation stone for ICHOR Biologics at Genome Valley, Shamirpet, and urges investment across IT, EV and biosciences.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stated that “the Telangana government will provide necessary incentives for investments in the industrial sector.” He emphasized that infrastructure, subsidies, and permissions essential for industrial development would be provided.
The groundbreaking ceremony for ICHOR Biologics’ new facility at Genome Valley in Shamirpet was attended by Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Vivek Venkataswamy, MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy, ICHOR Managing Director Sudini Ananda Reddy, and government officials.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister urged industrialists to invest in the state across IT, electric vehicles, pharmaceuticals, and biosciences. He outlined Telangana’s ambition: “we are determined to make Telangana the top destination” as global capital seeks alternatives to China.
The Chief Minister highlighted Telangana’s existing pharmaceutical leadership, noting the state produces 33 percent of India’s vaccines and 40 percent of bulk drugs. During COVID-19, Genome Valley manufactured vaccines supplied to nearly 100 countries.
Setting forward targets, he stated the goal is for Telangana to contribute 10 percent toward India’s targeted $30 trillion economy by 2047, positioning the state as a $3 trillion economic hub.
