IT and Industries Minister Sri Duddilla Sridhar Babu Launched India’s First AI-Integrated ‘Telangana Data Exchange’ (TGDeX) Platform at T-Hub
India's first AI-integrated data exchange, TGDeX, launches with over 480 datasets and 3,000 AI startups already integrated.
IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu announced that the Telangana government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership, aims to train two lakh youth as world-class AI professionals within two years.
The state is preparing to establish a global-standard AI University to achieve this mission. The TGDeX platform, launched today, represents India’s first AI-integrated data exchange. According to the Minister: “AI is no longer just an emerging technology; it has become a transformative force” with potential to impact lives and create opportunities.
TGDeX was developed by the Emerging Technologies Wing of the IT, E&C Department in collaboration with JICA, with strategic support from IISc Bengaluru. The platform enables government departments, startups, academia, researchers, and youth to collaborate on solving real-world problems.
Currently, over 480 datasets and more than 3,000 AI startups are integrated into the TGDeX ecosystem. The platform will support agri-tech startups in assisting farmers, help the health department develop patient care models, and facilitate student skilling and innovation.
The government targets integrating 2,000 datasets over the next five years and is implementing 30 AI-driven projects currently. A Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computing will launch soon, alongside an AI-based academic curriculum beginning at the school level.
