Telangana’s Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated Premier Energies’ 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Sitarampur, Rangareddy district. Established within 12 months, this represents the first operational manufacturing unit in the state’s proposed PURE zone.
The CM emphasized plans to transform Hyderabad’s 2,100 square kilometer core urban region within the Outer Ring Road into a pollution-free area. He stated: “We have resolved to make this entire core urban region completely pollution-free.”
The government has enacted legislation to relocate industries outside the Outer Ring Road, designating a peri-urban region as a manufacturing zone for relocated enterprises seeking new locations.
Revanth Reddy commended Premier Energies for developing innovative clean-energy solutions, including the solar-powered OxyTree system designed for air purification. He praised the company for establishing its facility in just one year.
The CM outlined Telangana’s development strategy through the CURE, PURE, and RARE framework, targeting a one trillion-dollar economy by 2034 and positioning the state as nationally prominent through sustainable industrialization and skill development initiatives.
