Hon’ble Minister Sri D. Sridhar Babu Inaugurated the Deutsche Börse Group’s Global Capability Centre at Raidurg
Deutsche Börse Group's new GCC at Raidurg will create 1,000 high-skilled jobs in its first phase, serving global markets worth $24 trillion.
Hyderabad is on course to emerge as a global command centre for financial technology, Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu said on Tuesday after inaugurating the Deutsche Börse Group’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) at Raidurg.
He said the decision of one of the world’s leading financial market institutions to establish its GCC in Hyderabad reflects Telangana’s policy stability, investor-friendly governance and confidence in the city’s skilled workforce.
The Minister said Hyderabad already hosts seven of the world’s top ten asset management companies, positioning it as a significant node in the global financial system. “With Deutsche Börse joining this ecosystem, Hyderabad has further consolidated its identity as a centre for capital, wealth creation and high-value financial services,” he said.
Mr. Sridhar Babu announced that the State government is working to evolve Hyderabad from a technology incubator into a “Global Innovation Powerhouse”. A dedicated Global Innovation Hub will soon be set up to enable advanced research and breakthrough ideas in emerging technologies. “We are not merely attracting investments; we are creating value that supports the global economy,” he added.
The newly launched GCC will provide services to global financial markets managing assets worth over USD 24 trillion, including major exchanges such as the Shanghai Stock Exchange. In its first phase, the centre will create 1,000 high-skilled jobs in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud engineering and deep technology, which is expected to double in the coming years.
Describing Deutsche Börse Group as a pillar of the global financial system, the Minister said its presence in Hyderabad reinforces investor confidence in Telangana’s governance and economic vision. He added that the government is committed to supporting innovation, stability and value creation that contribute to national and global growth.
German Consul General Michael Haspel, Special Chief Secretary Sanjay Kumar, Deutsche Börse Group CIO/COO Dr. Christoph Böhm and Director Dr. Ludwig Heinzlmann, along with senior officials and industry representatives, attended the event.
