Land Banks & Industrial Parks
The biggest hindrance to establishing large projects in India has been the availability and acquisition of land. Telangana has realized this and has put in place a land bank and a process of land allotment which is transparent, quick, and reliable. The state has the largest land bank in the country.
About 1.5 lakh acres of land is available in the state that has been identified for allotment to Industry. Based on a detailed survey of these land parcels and identification of those parcels that are fit for industrial use, an industrial land bank for the State of Telangana has been developed. Such lands have been transferred to the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC). TSIIC ensures that all the support facilities like roads, power, water, effluent treatment, and logistics are made available for these land parcels. TSIIC has identified the suitability of each land parcel for setting up core sector-specific Industrial Parks and for allotment to large individual enterprises. The process of application has been simplified and made web-enabled.

Ease-of-doing Construction
Telangana is the only state today which allows for a self certification-based system for approvals and clearances. This implies that businesses do not need to wait for the last piece of paper before they commence their activities. They are permitted to hit the ground running right from day one by giving a self certificate that they will comply with the laws of the land. Permissions are required only before going into the stage of commercial production, for which the government has legislated a guarantee of maximum 15 days in giving all approvals. Multiple sector-specific polices allow for their corresponding investors to do away with construction rules and restrictions that would otherwise apply to a generic industry.
Providing quicker clearances and minimising the human interface by introducing online systems for processing of applications and granting various permissions and incentives to business and industry have been projected as a major hallmark of ease of doing businesess.
