Telangana Govt. Signs MoU with Skyroot Aerospace
Skyroot Aerospace to invest ~Rs 500 crore in an integrated private rocket manufacturing, integration and testing facility in Telangana.
Skyroot Aerospace, a Hyderabad-based space technology company, has entered into an agreement with the Telangana government to establish an integrated private rocket manufacturing, integration, and testing unit in the state. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Davos.
Under the agreement, Skyroot Aerospace will invest approximately Rs. 500 crore to establish the manufacturing facility in Telangana.
The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the partnership, noting that “a Hyderabad-based organization’s success in advanced space technology is a matter of pride.” He appreciated the state’s youth for displaying remarkable talent globally and congratulated companies for investing in the region.
Minister Sridhar Babu stated that the partnership with Skyroot reflects the government’s strategic focus on the space sector, adding that Hyderabad will soon develop into a hub for private space activities.
Skyroot co-founder Pawan Kumar Chandan expressed enthusiasm about the investment collaboration, stating the company looks forward to contributing to Telangana’s development vision.
